Drawing on over 20 years of experience as a business analyst and consultant across Australia and Canada, I bring analytical precision to event planning. My entrepreneurial journey includes founding a successful bakery in Saskatoon and managing both a spa and wedding planning business in Ontario. As a passionate advocate for business growth, I lead the "Future Entrepreneurs" initiative with the Women Empowerment Alliance. As co-founder of Lumora Events, I'm dedicated to creating exceptional, memorable experiences that exceed our clients' expectations.

Aisha Rafique

Combining 20 years of expertise as an engineer and as an environmental and quality professional with a creative flair for event planning, I specialize in conceptualizing and executing meaningful events. My portfolio spans from corporate exhibitions to educational campaigns and community-focused celebrations for families and women. As an NLP practitioner, I strongly advocate for mental health and mindfull-ness. I actively serve on the boards of International Women of Saskatoon and WIM/WIN-SK. At Lumora Events, which I co-founded, I'm passionate about creating impactful experiences that connect communities with causes that matter.

Lumora Cooking Competition : September 20, 2025

An evening dedicated to heart health and healthy living, celebrating culinary diversity, inclusion and the amazing flavours that bring communities together. After an incredible showcase of talent, creativity and cultural essence, our top winners who took the cash prize of $500 was Tassanee Nithisaasin, followed by Surbhi Takyar who won $250 and Pinky Patel who won $100.

A heartfelt thanks to our esteemed judge, Chef Sam Schindelka, Head Chef at Chop Steakhouse and Bar for taking time out of his busy schedule to make this a truly memorable event. Special thanks to Ms. Madison Banman, Registered Dietician and owner of Swift Gifts Sask, Mr. Ashfaque Ahmed, Director of Immigration and Refugees Program at Saskatoon Open Door Society and Ms. Ashraf Mir, Director of Employment Services at Saskatoon Open Door Society for their presence and encouragement.
